Rev. Danny L. Tucker Sr. is the youngest of three children born to the late Deacon John Richard and Deaconess Coreen M. Tucker of Prince George Virginia. He currently resides in Hopewell, Virginia with his wife Rev. Jacqueline D. Tucker. They share three adult children, Amber, Danny Jr., and Darryl.

He received his early Christian education at the Providence Baptist Church in Prince George County, Virginia.  Rev. D. Tucker Sr. was ordained as a Deacon in 1977 and licensed to preach the gospel in 1980 by the Rev. Merriweather Woods. Rev. D. Tucker Sr. was later ordained in 2004 by the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Hopewell, Virginia, and the late Dr. Joseph D. Morrison.

His career in corrections consisted of both state and federal work over a span of 32 years. Rev. Danny L. Tucker retired from the Federal Correctional Complex, Petersburg, Virginia as a Corrections Treatment Specialist in 2012.

Rev. Danny L. Tucker Sr. is a graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelors of Music Degree; Master of Divinity Degree from, Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University. His future plan is to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree.

Presently Rev. D. Tucker Sr. is an associate minister serving at Second Baptist, Chester, Virginia under the leadership of the Rev. Johnnie Fleming.
